關於氣味,從腦海跳出的第一個記憶是什麼?也許是陳舊發黃的信紙味、眷戀之人頸間的香水味、鄉野間燒稻草 的嗆鼻煙味、廚房傳出母親令人垂涎欲滴的菜飯香...。嗅覺之於人,就如氣味之於分子,是無數無心的排列組 合,所交織成千萬種深刻的記憶。

What is the first memory when it comes to the smell? Perhaps it is the smell of old and yellowed letters, the perfume of lovers, the smoke of the burned straw in the countryside, or the smell of dinner cooked by mom .
期望藉由氣味,連結台灣人與土地的關係,繫起我們與台灣之間的情感。以「台灣特產文化」為主題,我們選出 台灣五個具有故事性的特產,分別為花(玉蘭花)、果(菱角)、木(檜木)、葉(洛神花)、子(愛玉子), 製作香氛並搭配擴香石,來闡述台灣各地特產與文化之間耐人尋味的地方。

We hope to connect people’s emotions with Taiwan through odor. With the theme of "Taiwan's specialty culture," we chose five meaningful specialties from Taiwan: Flower (Magnolia), Fruit (Water chestnut), Wood (Cypress), Leaf (Roselle), and seed(Aiyu). Each fragrance tells interesting stories between specialties and cultures in Taiwan with its own fragrant stone.

將五種特產的造型進行解構,從中選擇具有象徵性的部分作為基本元素,並以不斷重複元素的做法,重新組合成 五種擴香石造型。選用溫潤的日本瓷土作為材料,呈現純粹的白色美感,藉由素燒的多細孔特性,吸收香氛,緩 慢揮發於空間中。

Deconstructing the shapes of these five specialties, we chose some of the symbolic parts from them as the basic elements. Through repeating the simple shapes, we recombined them into five kinds of fragrant stone. Moreover, we used table ware as a material, which shows a pure white aesthetic. Also, with tiny holes on the table ware after being fired, the table ware absorbs the scent easily and evaporates in the air slowly.

產品由木台底座(15*19cm)、木燈盒、LED燈條、擴香石與香氛噴瓶(10ml)組成,概念是將台灣特產的視覺意象 與嗅覺結合,所以每一個特產都有屬於自己的造型與香氛。

The product consists of a wooden base (15*19cm), a wooden light box, a LED light bar, one fragrant stone and a fragrance spray bottle (10ml). The concept is to combine the visual image and sense of smell of specialties from Taiwan; as a result, each specialty has its own style and aroma.

氣味是抽象的曲線、堆疊與漸層,我們在包裝的設計上,也融入這樣的概念,不規則的氣味環狀擴散,有如香味 分子消散於空氣中。三層的環圈也意味著香水的前、中、後味,除了視覺意象的表達外也同時具有擴香石防撞的 保護。

Aroma is abstract curve, stacking, and gradients. We integrated the concept in the design of packaging. The irregular spreaded circles are like the molecules of fragrance dissipate in the air. The three-layer ring also means the fragrance's front, middle, and back flavors. In addition to the expression of the visual image, it also has the anti-collision function.
